Bible Reading Plans
A Bible reading plan tells you exactly what to read each day, so you never have to decide. Pick one of three free plans below: the whole Bible in a year, in the order events happened, or in 90 days. Each has a day-by-day schedule, a tracker you tick off, and a printable version.
Read the Bible in a Year
365 days in book order, about 3–4 chapters a day.
Chronological Bible Reading Plan
365 days in the order events happened.
Read the Bible in 90 Days
The whole Bible in 90 days, about an hour a day.
Which plan should I choose?
- First time through the Bible? The one-year plan is the gentlest: Genesis to Revelation in book order, about 15 minutes a day.
- Want the history to make sense? The chronological plan places the prophets among the kings and the letters within Acts.
- Have an hour a day and want the big picture fast? The 90-day plan covers everything in three months.
- Not ready for a full plan? Start with the 7-day plan in how to read the Bible.
Missed a day? Your streak of reading is not the point; your progress is. Pick up at the next unticked day.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best Bible reading plan for beginners?
If you have never read the Bible, start with a Gospel for a week, then take the one-year plan at about 15 minutes a day. If you want the history to make sense, choose the chronological plan instead.
How many chapters should I read a day?
To finish in a year, about 3–4 chapters. To finish in 90 days, about 13. Any amount you can keep up daily is better than a big amount you abandon.
What should I read for the Bible reading of the day?
If you are starting today, Day 1 of the one-year plan is Genesis 1–3. Each plan page lists every day and saves your place in your browser.
Are these reading plans free?
Yes. There is no sign-up. Progress is stored only in your own browser, and every plan can be printed.
Which translation do the plans use?
The schedules work with any translation, since chapter numbers are almost always the same in English Bibles. We quote the Berean Standard Bible (BSB) on 7 Scrolls.
