What does this quiz about Jesus cover?

The questions walk through the Gospel story from beginning to end. One question covers the naming of Jesus as a baby; the Christmas story has its own quiz. Then come the baptism in the Jordan, the forty days in the wilderness, the feeding of the five thousand, the ten lepers and the man born blind who washed in the Pool of Siloam.

The middle section turns to what Jesus taught: lines from the Sermon on the Mount, the mustard seed, the good Samaritan and the prodigal son. The last questions stay with the plain facts of the Gospel accounts: where Jesus was crucified, who came to the tomb first, and what Thomas said he needed to see.

How can I use it with a group, a class or at home?

Because the questions are in story order, the quiz works as a quick retelling of the Gospels. Pause after each answer and ask someone to say what happens next in the story before you move on. It turns a quiz into a summary that everyone builds together.

In a class, split the group by Gospel: give each team Matthew, Mark, Luke or John and let them check which of the answers come from their book. Several stories appear in more than one Gospel, and comparing the accounts is a good way to notice details.

What is a good study tip for the life of Jesus?

Read one Gospel straight through rather than jumping between stories. Luke is a good place to start, because Luke says he wrote an orderly account, and several questions here come from it, including the ten lepers, the good Samaritan and the prodigal son. The summary of Luke gives you the outline, and the profile of Jesus puts the events from all four Gospels in order with their key verses.
